According to US Travel, more than half of Americans do not use their vacation days each year. So why are we not taking vacations? Work stress, pressure from our jobs, fear of missing career opportunities, and inability to unplug from technology. Unfortunately, we forget the value of taking a healthy vacation. Time away allows us to take care of ourselves and recharge. It is great for our physical, mental and spiritual health.
That is why I chose to go to SHI Macrobiotic’s Healthy Vacation Adventure in Costa Rica. Before the trip, I was struggling with headaches, migraines, eye strain, and fatigue. It became clear that all the long hours at work and on the computer had caught up to me. And I needed a fun, relaxing retreat. And that is exactly what I got joining SHI’s Healthy Vacation Adventure in Costa Rica. It was AMAZING! Here are the exciting activities, great food, and classes that I experienced on this healthy vacation.
Activities
We had a tour guide, Leo, who helped plan group activities – hanging bridges, hiking, river rafting trip, farm tour and sloth tour. Or you could easily set up an activity through Tabacon Hot Springs Resort – spa day, ziplining, horseback riding, white river rafting and so much more. It was really up to you! This allowed everyone to have the vacation they desired. You could participate in as many activities as you wanted or just relax at the beautiful Tabacon hot springs.
Overall, I was very satisfied with this trip. And saw the difference when I returned to work. I felt happier and more energized. It was worth it to leave my computer behind and take this amazing Healthy Vacation Adventure in Costa Rica. I’m looking forward to the next trip to Costa Rica in 2020.
