The year 2022 marks a unique time of convergence of many complementary cycles that will likely result in significant changes in society. It is a time when we will either move more towards natural or artificial human beings. Natural human beings eat natural and traditional foods and are closely connected to Nature and each other. In the coming years and decades, they will continue to strengthen their connection to each other, the earth and God, nature, or the universe together with the ability to guide their own lives in a healthy and harmonious way.
This natural way of life may be contrasted with the possibility of moving toward more artificial human beings, connected to the internet like our appliances with increasingly replaceable parts, eating GMOs, artificial foods and living in loneliness and isolation. This future will give science and medicine more power to take care of their needs and protect them from disease. This time is likely to show itself by one or more conflicts that may ultimately determine how our society will move forward. It’s an exciting time to be a part of this change.
In my upcoming webinar on January 22, we will look at the different cycles, their convergence, and what they may mean for all of us in a bit more detail. The point is that it is time to continually grow our consciousness and take a more active role in creating our future.
The North Star cycle is a 25,800-year cycle also known as the wobbling procession, or The Great Year. This is because the Earth is inclined on its axis approximately 23.5 degrees and it moves back on its axis by approximately 1 degree every 72 years. It looks like a rotating top over this time period. This means that the North Star actually changes overtime as the Earth changes the position north is facing. The North Star changes approximately every 2,160 years. Our present North Star, Polaris, will exactly align in 2102.
These celestial changes influence life on our planet. We have two major ages that last approximately 13,000 years each. We are near the ending of the last period of the Age of Darkness.
Approximately every 13,000 years, the Age of Darkness, and the Age of Brightness (Golden Age) alternate in the same way that we have day and night in 24 hours. The last several thousand years, we have seen many wars and fighting to conquer others. This period of conflict has been guided by “Heaven’s Force” and gives men an advantage. Right now, we are on the dawn of the Age of Brightness or Golden Age, which is dominated by Earth’s Force and give women, or feminine energy, more power. Women have been steadily gaining power over the last hundred years and this change will continue to grow. If we continue on this path we will transition more into the Age of Brightness over the next several hundred years. The Age of Brightness is a literal term because the north of our planet faces the Milky Way Galaxy, which brings incredible brightness to the night time sky and tends to raise the consciousness of all of life.
Each Age in western astrology is also approximately 2,160 years when the sun moves into a new constellation. We are just ending the age of Pisces, which allowed people to remain in darkness. It allows humans to be easily led by those in power. We have just entered the Age of Aquarius on December 21, 2020, which means the Earth is expected to move into the light. Things will become more “known,” rather than “hidden.” Individuals will also regain their ability to guide their own health and life during this Age. The North Star Cycle and the Ages in western astrology align in this understanding. Both of these cycles signify that a substantial change in humanity is occurring. It means that more and more people are beginning to wake up and connect with each other.
This seven-year cycle literally means, “release.” In Judaism, this means that a cycle of change occurs at the Jewish New Year around September or October. Some Shmita years have been very powerful with life-changing events. Several of these recent changes included 2001 (with 9/11) and 2008 (with the crash of the stock market).
The Jubilee is another cycle that occurs every 50 years and marks more major changes in society. Recent cycles were in 1966, where the Vietnam War and a new generation of young people influenced a change in values and new directions in life and society. More recently in 2016, three unexpected things occurred. The first was Brexit, Britain exiting the European Union, the second was Donald Trump becoming president of the United States, and third was the closing of the famous macrobiotic center known as the Kushi Institute. Many people thought all three things were not possible. This year, 2022 is a Shmita year which will likely bring a significant change in the end of September.
9 Star Ki is a 9-day, 9-month, and 9-year cycle that follows nature’s changing energy. Each year brings a different change that we experience individually and as a society as a whole. It is like moving from a seed buried in the snow to the full blossom of summer and back again. These 9 Star Ki cycles apply to both individuals and to humanity. 2022 is a number 5 year, which represents the power of nature. This means we are likely to see either unity or destruction at massive scales. For example, WWI and WWII both started on Number 5 years. I do not think this Number 5 year will lead to war, but I do think that long standing things we have been accustomed to are likely to end or dissolve this year. Of course, these are my interpretations of powerful natural cycles and we will all have to watch and see how they play out.
It is extremely rare for these 4 cycles to come together. Really, only every 26,000 years would it even be possible. This movement from dark to light is a part of our collective consciousness and it will ultimately be the deciding factor on how things change. Will enough people wake up and help us move us toward the light? It is not a time to sit back and wait. It is a time for endeavoring to raise our consciousness and align together to create the type of life and society we want to see in the future. In the words of George Ohsawa and Michio Kushi, macrobiotics is a peaceful biological revolution where we each one of us change from the inside to gather together and create a more peaceful, healthy, and harmonious world.
